New Google Live Cases!

Google claims that their new invention, the Live Case, will lead smartphone case innovation. The live case is displayed as a game changer, but is it really worth giving your attention for?

The Google Live Case looks like a regular phone case, but there’s a lot more to it than just protection. They’re called Live Cases, because the case actually can interact with your phone. Hence the name. The Live Case is a custom built case that allows you to choose any picture or pattern that you want to have on the back of the case. The case is slim and adds minimum bulk to the smartphone. Through the Internet, you can copy-paste the wanted image or section of a map and add it to the 3D model that can be viewed. Google also features filters and patterns that you can use to customize your case even more.

The live case features a shortcut button on the back. Google lets you download a Live Case App from the Play Store, which allows you to control the button. Using the app, the user can customize the button to do any simple task, such as turning on/off Wi-Fi or opening an app. You can also make the back of the screen your lock screen or home screen background if you want. Because smart accessories for phones are becoming quite popular lately, this can be a great innovation for the future.

Currently, the cases are sold at a fairly reasonable price of $35USD. The downside is that these cases are only available for the Nexus 5X, 6, and 6P models. But because it allows you to make the case you want, we expect that Google will be dishing out many of these Live Cases soon. However, the case has not proven its ability to protect the phone inside. The durability of the Live Case is also open to speculation, because we haven’t been hearing much about its durability and protection. Because it is a first-generation smart accessory, there is room for improvement. But if Google can make this work, this might just be the small step we need in a game-changing direction in technology.
