Silver, Space Grey, and Gold iPhone 6s. |
3D Touch might not seem like a big thing, but in fact, it is a huge improvement over the other iPhones. Having 3 layers (tap, press, deep press), the 3D Touch opens up many available features with just a harder press on the screen. Of course, previous iPhone users might not get used to it, but soon enough it will be second nature to you. It still includes the Tap, Swipe, and Pinch from Multi-Touch, but there will be new gestures like Peek and Pop. For example, you won't have to press the 'Menu' button on your iPhone anymore, because it will be replaced by a press from 3D Touch!
Peek and Pop is probably one of the iPhone 6s's best new feature. When you're viewing things like websites or emails, you can peek to see what it contains, then press deeper to 'Pop' into the fullscreen version. Another great feature of Peek is that you can lightly press an address, and it will open a mini-size map for you to look at. Another great feature of 3D Touch is Quick Actions. On the home screen, if you press on an app, things will pop up on the screen allowing you to quickly call people, send a new message, or send your location.
Paired with the powerful 12MP camera on the iPhone 6s, Live Photos brings even more to photos. By pressing on the screen, you can record a short video to capture important moments. And you can even set Live Photos as your iPhone 6s wallpaper.
Personally, I think the 3D Touch option is a great feature to have. While it is a bit more expensive than the iPhone 6, if you crave the best phone with the best features, the iPhone 6s is the phone for you. 3D Touch opens another whole dimension for you to explore, and Peek and Pop and Live Photos bring even more exciting experience to the latest phone by Apple.
Pre-orders for the 6s have started on September 12th; however, you are able to still pre-order it until the 25th, when it officially comes out.
