When it comes to companies that buy other companies... Microsoft is always there. Yesterday (Sept. 13), Microsoft bought the Echo Notification Lockscreen, a third-party lockscreen on the Google Play Store for Android. 

Microsoft has been making its way into Android through the Google Play Store for quite some time now. A lot of Microsoft apps are available in Android including the Microsoft Office, Calendar, Email, Custom Launcher, Photos app, etc.
