Google Gives out Awards for the Best Apps on Android

Google Play Award Nominees on the Play Store

The Google Play Store is the biggest mobile app store in the world, with over 1 million applications. 

And now, there are prizes for the best apps. 

At the end of every year, there would be a "Best Apps/Games of the Year" section in the Play Store. 

Apple's approach to this was giving awards for the most popular applications on its App Store. 

Google, starting from this year, will have the Google Play Awards and give out awards for the top 5 apps in 10 categories. 

The event will carry on during the May 17 Google I/O, and will showcase apps such as 'musical.ly', 'Clash Royale', and 'Alto's Adventure'.
