The new
iPhone was out, but that wasn't Wednesday's big event, because the release of a
new iPad stole the spotlight. But this new iPad isn't any iPad, it's a new line
of iPad. Please welcome, the iPad Pro.
The iPad
Pro...? What? Well by the end of this article you wouldn't have any more
questions because it has everything you would want, and need to know, in easy
words.
The new
iPad is so big, it actually feels more like a laptop. Its 12.9 inch, and its
display, a 2,732 x 2,048 pixel resolution, which means the resolution is
excellent, and is better than any iOS device has had. The Wi-Fi models are 1.57
pounds heavy and the cellular is 1.59 pounds.
It still
has what all the past iPads ever had, a lightning connector (charger) port in
the bottom, Touch ID (Fingerprint) Sensor on the home button, has a multi touch
function, fingerprint resistant coating, and has a Anti-Reflective screen.
Anything new it has is an another connector port on the right of the tablet,
and a sensor on the screen that tells how hard you press.
It has a
10 hour battery life. The processor got updated as well, to the A9X processor,
the fastest processor ever on an iPhone or iPad.
And now,
to the accessories.
There
are 2 main accessories of the iPad Pro. One is the iPad Pro keyboard. And I'm
thinking that this iPad is aimed for the same people that the Microsoft Surface
tablet was. Students or On-the-go people that only need basic features like
browsing, simple editing, no professional programs, and writing documents. Now
without the keyboard, the Surface wouldn't be worth buying. I say without the
keyboard, the iPad Pro wouldn't be worth buying as well. The only big
difference between this and the other iPads was the screen size for the
productivity, and well, same for Surface. The keyboard is also a
"case-cover", which means, it's a screen cover and a case at the same
time while being a keyboard. But... it's very expensive, for going $169 in the
US. That was similar to the Surface's expensive keyboard as well.
The
second accessory is the Apple Pencil. It's a stylus that- according to Apple,
is very accurate, and precise to 1 pixel. It is specially designed for the iPad
Pro (as the Surface Pen was for the Surface Pro) and with changing thicknesses
with how hard you press, I think it's a very good stylus. The price isn't that
expensive compared to other Bluetooth connected styluses, being $99.
